I talk to a lot of SME founders. And one thing comes up again and again, almost word for word:
“I know my website isn’t right. I just don’t know what to do about it.”
They’re not wrong. The website has grown over the years. Pages were added. The messaging got a bit muddled. The about page still says something they wrote in 2019. And somewhere along the way, the site stopped being something they were proud to share — and became something they quietly apologised for.
What surprises me is how many of them have tried to fix it. New plugins. New photos. New copy written at 11pm on a Tuesday. And yet the feeling doesn’t shift.
That’s because the problem isn’t usually a design problem or a content problem. It’s a clarity problem.

So I Built a Day Around Fixing That
NotebookLM for Websites: Fix What’s Not Working and Feel Proud of It Again
Friday 20th March 2026 | 9:30am–4:30pm | The Studio, Leeds
I’m running this alongside the brilliant Pascal Fintoni, and together we’ve designed a full working day that takes you from “I know something’s wrong” to “I know exactly what to do next.”
The tool at the centre of it is Google’s NotebookLM. And I’ll be honest — most people haven’t heard of it. Everyone knows ChatGPT. Far fewer businesses are using NotebookLM, which is a real shame, because for website work it’s genuinely extraordinary.
It’s not a content generator. It’s a thinking tool. Upload your website content, and it becomes an objective reviewer — a kind of AI mystery shopper that can tell you what your site is actually saying, where trust breaks down, where visitors get confused, and what’s missing. It’s one of the most useful things I’ve discovered in years of working in digital marketing, and I want more SME founders to be using it.

What We’ll Actually Do Together
This is not a workshop where you sit and listen to me talk for seven hours. I find those exhausting. You probably do too.
Instead, it’s a structured working day. You’ll bring your laptop and your website, and we’ll work through it together. By the end of the day you’ll have:
- A clear, honest picture of what’s holding your website back
- A NotebookLM workspace configured around your own website — ready to use from day one
- Stronger drafts for your about page, FAQs, and case studies
- A simple, repeatable content and social structure

- A 90-day WebProud action plan that’s prioritised and actually doable
- A free copy of my book WebProud, which we’ll use as a thread throughout the day
No fluff. No filler. Real progress on your real website.
Who This Day Is For
If you run or manage an SME website that’s grown a bit messy — and you care about it doing its job properly — this day is for you.
You don’t need to be technical. You don’t need to have used AI tools before. You do need to be willing to look honestly at your website and commit to improving it.
This isn’t for large agency teams or enterprise businesses. It’s not for people after a quick template or a generic checklist. And it’s not for AI hobbyists — I’ll be upfront about that.
It’s for founders and business owners who are a little bit tired of their website being the thing they’re always meaning to sort out.
